Aunt Lisa graduated with her Master’s of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in the beginning of June. We drove the 1000 miles to see her graduate and all lived to tell the tale! Here are pics from graduation, including a fun set of Alton running around with a friend at the graduation itself (the last pic is my favorite!).
Stuart is a year old! We can scarcely believe it’s been a whole year. He’s really becoming his own person these days. He has definite likes (stuffed animals) and dislikes (being confined). He’s a man on the move now and enjoys getting into whatever he can find that we accidentally left out. He thinks Alton is the funniest thing ever and Alton loves his little brother. What a year!

Alton loves to read books and will sit with anyone who is willing to read to him. He also sneaks out of his room at night (or closes the door and turns on the light) to read more books.

As has been our tradition for the last several years, we dyed Easter Eggs ON Easter. The week leading up to Easter is always a bit hectic so dying them on Easter day works out better for our family.
Alton has quite a bit of patience when it comes to doing something he wants to do and egg dying was definitely something he wanted to do. It was a neat for us to note that his fine motor skills and patience have really come a long way since last year. He did a great job being careful not to drop or splash the egg and had definite opinions about which color belonged on which eggs. (It was also amusing for us to note that he bites his tongue when he concentrates, just like other relatives of his!)
